Psychodynamic Counselling Online
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, stuck, or hard to make sense of. I offer a space to slow down, explore what's really going on, and begin to understand yourself more deeply.
What is psychodynamic counselling?
Working with what lies beneath
Psychodynamic counselling is built on the idea that many of our feelings and actions are influenced by things happening beneath the surface — like early life experiences, relationships, and long-held patterns. Together, we take the time to gently explore what's truly going on, going beyond just the symptoms to understand the deeper story behind them. This isn't about quick fixes; it's about creating meaningful, lasting change.

Sessions that feel like a real conversation
Sessions are 50 minutes, held weekly via secure video call. There's no agenda to follow and no homework to complete. You bring whatever feels most alive for you — a feeling, a memory, something that happened this week — and we follow it together.
Over time, you'll begin to notice things you hadn't noticed before: recurring themes, emotional reactions that seem out of proportion, ways of relating that keep showing up. That awareness is where change begins.
Many people find that the relationship formed in counselling — the experience of being genuinely heard and understood — is itself part of what heals. It's a different kind of conversation from any other in your life.
Areas I work with
You don't need to have it all figured out to get in touch
People come to counselling for many different reasons. Some arrive with a clear sense of what's troubling them; others simply know that something feels off. Both are a perfectly good place to start.
Anxiety & worry
Persistent anxiety, panic, overthinking, or a constant sense of dread that's hard to shake.
Depression & low mood
Feeling flat, empty, or disconnected from life — even when there's no obvious reason why.
Grief & loss
Bereavement, the end of a relationship, or any loss that has left you struggling to find your footing.
Trauma
Past or recent experiences that continue to affect how you feel, think, or relate to others.
Relationship difficulties
Recurring patterns in relationships — with partners, family, or colleagues — that feel hard to change.
Low self-esteem
A harsh inner critic, difficulty feeling good enough, or a deep sense of not belonging.
"Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways."
— Sigmund Freud

Getting in touch is the hardest part. A brief, no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit — that's all it takes to begin.
